This place was started by the Olsson brothers in 1989 when both Garlic and Shots were a new thing in Stockholm.
The opposite was a bus parking so this become a “pick-up” and “drop-off” place for bands going on tour. The parking is gone but Garlic & Shots is still a place where the music industry hangs out.
When the brothers retire they don’t want anyone to ruin their legacy so our favorite restaurant was destined to close. A group of old friends – all touring regulars – pulled together to save Garlic and Shots and through lots of work and old ties with the Olsson brothers we finally managed.
We are now trying our best to keep this old place alive and kicking with the help of our friends in the music industry, That´s why most of us who work here – both in the kitchen and on the floor – are musicians wish is why we may not be the serving staff you´re used at most other restaurants
This is our haven, our grounds, our place, and we really hope you´ll find it yours as well. Whatever you do, wherever you´re from and whoever you are, you won’t find a place that loves you more.
